What Stands Between Us And The Sun

2010

What Stands Between Us and the Sun is a single channel video, site-specific video installation, and a series of photographs.

In an abandoned industrial mill building in Central Falls, Rhode Island, the birthplace of the American Industrial Revolution, a stage constructed of wood and mylar becomes a lake. Surrounded by potted plants, the set for the video and photograph evokes an invented world where performers alter the lake's structure to fabricate an eclipse of the sun.
